IT Jobs Tempe Could Grow from Insight Acquisition
The number of IT jobs Tempe has to offer could soon increase as two successful local companies combine forces.
Insight Enterprises, Inc. recently announced its plans to acquire Ensynch, a professional services firm based in Tempe. The company, which had revenue of $16.2 million last year, offers many Microsoft Gold competencies and solutions throughout the IT industry.
"Ensynch brings a depth of knowledge and expertise that will be a tremendous asset to Insight and elevate our services offerings to the next level," Ken Lamneck, president and CEO of Insight, said in a statement. "Through a dedicated focus on client service, the Ensynch team consistently ranks in the top 2 percent of Microsoft partners.
"Combining Ensynch's technical skills with Insight's sales engine will elevate our ability to provide clients with complete software solutions to drive their success," he continued. "We are excited about adding Ensynch's industry-leading capabilities in Cloud, Identity Management and Virtualization to our existing offerings."
As part of the acquisition, Gene Holmquist, president and CEO of Ensynch, will become vice president of software sales for Insight, while Ensynch COO Stan Lequin will become vice president of national professional services.

Sales Jobs Phoenix Arizona Could be Supported by US Airways Hires
One of the largest airlines is creating hundreds of new positions, which could increase the number of sales jobs Phoenix Arizona has to offer
US Airways recently announced its plans to hire 500 crew members next year, some of which will be based in Phoenix. Of the new positions, about 420 will be for flight attendants, while the remaining 80 will be for pilots. The increased number of employees could result in more flights, and thus more sales jobs in Phoenix (http://lazboyjobs.com).
The company is hiring in order to fill positions that will be left open due to retirements and attrition. The jobs will first be offered to current employees on furlough and then to new applicants. After the hiring process, US Airways will have no flight attendants on furlough, and up to 100 pilots on furlough.
"Our crew member hiring needs are being driven primarily by planned retirements and attrition, as well as international growth," US Airways President Scott Kirby said in a press release. "Today's announcement is consistent with our previously announced plan to keep our domestic capacity flat in 2011 while growing international capacity by 8 percent.
"This is great news for our workforce and the communities we serve," he continued. “We look forward to welcoming our colleagues back to US Airways, and bringing new crew members onto the team."
After the new positions are filled, US Airways will have about 4,970 active pilots and 7,300 active flight attendants. The company currently employs more than 31,000 aviation professionals throughout the world.
US Airways operates more than 3,100 flights per day, serving more than 200 communities in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America. The company also is a member of the Star Alliance network, which offers customers 21,000 flights each day to 1,160 airports in 181 countries.
