I have been searching for a calculus or senior math post in Houston for a long time. Although there are many posts, most are at undesirable schools. I would like to teach at a private school but as I am on a probationary certificate (with ACP), it is difficult to even get an interview with a private school. I have passed all the content areas 6-12 math, pedagogy, etc. In effect, all I need is to student teach for a year to become fully-certified.

In fact, I have been substitute teaching since January 2008 and have been able to actually teach when teachable moments presented themselves.

My mathematics knowledge is exceptional and I was a career software developer. I have a BS in Computer Information Systems.

My dream is to become a Teacher. I think that it's a golden opportunity for me to become a teacher as there are a lot of opportunities awaiting for me in Texas.
