Concerto Networks, a business services firm, recently opened the doors of its newest location in downtown Washington, DC. The company, which aims to provide small and medium sized businesses with technological solutions, already has four other locations in the metropolitan area.

DC jobs are aplenty here. While other employers are downsizing, Concerto's ability to open another branch shows that the demand for outsourced IT support and services in the city is increasing.

"We are extremely excited to be open for business, especially in DC," said John Videna, owner of the Concerto Networks Franchise, "where we can provide technology support and services to our own community. The small and medium-sized business (SMB) market has grown dramatically in recent years. While these SMBs may not have the same resources at their disposal as larger businesses, they still have the same advanced technology needs.

"We are pleased to be able to offer SMBs in the Washington, DC area consistent-quality business technology solutions, at a price that fits the budget of an SMB." Videna went on to say that the team at Concerto Networks "provides clients with innovative technologies that larger businesses already enjoy."

By outsourcing to meet these needs, businesses with smaller budgets find that they can cut costs without lowering decreasing efficiency. With more smaller and mid-sized businesses using outside companies to handle their technological needs, there has been a greater demand for IT professionals in the area. One recent study ranked DC as being in the top 5 cities in the nation for those in this industry. Concerto did not comment as to the number of Washington, DC jobs they expect the new branch to create in the next few months.

The company provides employers with computer support and software, internet and wireless capability, phone systems, Hosted Exchange email solutions, hardware and integration, remote managed services monitoring and several other services.
