Oncology Jobs Recognized for Female Patient Satisfaction

Those with oncology jobs at one prestigious organization were recently honored for their patient satisfaction among women.

WomenCertified recently named Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Eastern Regional Medical Center in Philadelphia as one of the nation's Top 100 Hospitals for Patient Experience. The facility was ranked sixth in the nation for its high female patient satisfaction.

Hospitals were ranked using a process that incorporates scores from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems; a number of other criteria that are important to women; and WomenCertified's own in-depth research on customer satisfaction among women.

"At CTCA we strive to do everything we can to improve the patient experience, while remaining focused on helping those facing cancer fight their disease and maintain a high quality of life," John McNeil, president and CEO of CTCA in Philadelphia, said in a statement. "This award is a wonderful honor that demonstrates our commitment to listen and respond to what is important to our patients."

WomenCertified also honored CTCA with the Women's Choice Award, signifying a high recommendation of the hospital.

"Women make or influence more than 85 percent of all healthcare decisions for themselves and their families," Delia Passi, CEO and founder of WomenCertified, said. "Recognizing the top hospitals nationwide that are women-friendly and align with women's identified preferences is important to our mission at WomenCertified, where we are women helping women make smart choices."
